Anil Kumble is wasting no time in laying a proper roadmap for the Indian Cricket Team. The newly-appointed coach is bringing all stakeholders of the Indian cricket under one roof and targeting a bigger picture.
According to reports, Kumble has called on a meeting in Bangalore on Sunday. In the meeting further course of action will be discussed. The meeting will take place at the sideline of ongoing Team India’s preparatory camp.
India limited-overs captain MS Dhoni, Test skipper Virat Kohli, under-19 coach Rahul Dravid will attend the meeting. BCCI’s senior and junior national selection committees will also be present in the meeting.
“Kumble wants things to run in a smoother fashion especially at the India A and U-19 level. He also wants for the coaching at the NCA to be more streamlined.
“It will be a meeting that’s first of its kind and it’s imperative that all the stakeholders present their views,” a top official of the Indian Cricket Board was quoted in the media.
Indian cricket’s long-term goals and streamlining the domestic system will be discussed in the meeting. Kumble is also likely to discuss about the current set-up, and players who are not part of the Indian team.
