Firstly, I’m not good at writing letters, have barely written any in my career till now. So, there could be formatting mistakes. Nevermind, coming back to the topic, criticism of MS Dhoni, like seriously?
After all these years the amount of hard work this guy has put in is no joke, and he deserves more than what he is getting at present. He went to the press conference, wore a gentle smile, addressed the media, and did what he has to following a heart-shattering loss.
The way he handled the whole situation and defended his troops is commendable. Some “EXPERTS” sitting in their AC offices, with luxury of having a fancy designation and cameras were questioning his attitude.
For the record, we all know MS is a man of integrity and has never spoken anything negative or spicy stuffs that can create any controversy. And, he maintained it after losing to Australia, “Disappointed we couldn’t go into the finals but only one team can win, and I felt Australia played better cricket on the day.”
Every single member of the Indian team played its hearts out and you cannot win seven consecutive matches just like that, that too in the World Cup. It was not just India’s day and surely Australia was a better team and used the conditions to their advantage.
MS Dhoni, meanwhile, marshalled his troops superbly and the whole team entertained us thoroughly in the World Cup. India is lucky to have MS Dhoni, who is a fighter and a marvellous leader.
True that you criticise players that have very high standards and MS Dhoni will, always remain in the firing line no matter what. But, it’s important to use the words correctly and support the team whenever required.
