The Board of Control for India (BCCI) has announced the Indian squad for the remaining two one-dayers and one-off T20 against West Indies. Selectors have included left-arm spinner Akshar Patel in the ODI and T20 squads, while Manish Pandey has been added to the 14-member T20 squad.
Leg-spinner Karn Sharma, after been left out of the ODI squad, is included in the T20 team, along with all-rounder Stuart Binny and Sanju Samson in the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led squads.
Akshar played for India during the Bangladesh tour and was one of the most successful spinners in the recently concluded Champions League T20. Pandey was in good touch during the CLT20 and played an instrumental role in Kolkata Knight Riders’ campaign.
Meanwhile, the selectors have not done any major changes in the squad, but off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is not included in the team. The pace attack remains the same with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma.
