Team India did the job in convincing fashion in the 2nd Test in Vizag. India completed a 246-run win over England, and took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. It is also their second highest win over England in terms of runs.
The Indian spinners – Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Jayant Yadav – set the victory on Day 5. Ashwin and Yadav took three wickets each, while Jadeja took a couple. Mohammad Shami also chipped-in with two.
Meanwhile, England failed to show any resistance whatsoever, and could only manage 158 in their second innings. Their middle and lower-order collapsed like a pack of cards in the first hour of the post-lunch session.

“It wasn’t a great moment to fight so hard, so was disappointing to get out at the end,” Alastair Cook said. “Think we saw the first day was easiest to bat, then you can see it became harder.”
England resumed the day at 87/2, but soon lost Ben Duckett for a duck. The Indian continued to pressed hard and got Moeen Ali (2). Soon, India delivered a key blow by dismissing both Joe Root and Ben Stokes in successive overs.
Stokes (6) was the key wicket for India. He was castled on a beauty from Jayant. The Indians got another massive success, when Shami trapped Root (25) in front to deliver the final blow.
It was just a matter of time for India to wrap-up the encounter. They did in no time by dismissing England’s tail.
