The Indian Cricket Team made a winning start in the rain-hit 1st ODI in Chennai. Owing to rain, Australia could only get 21 overs to bat in the second innings. They, eventually, lost the game to give India the lead in the series.

Meanwhile, rain could again play a spoilsport in the 2nd ODI. Weather forecast in the city is not at all looking encouraging at the moment. Rainfall and overcast conditions are predicted in Kolkata until this weekend.

Both teams have already reached Kolkata, but couldn’t get to train at the Eden Gardens. On Tuesday, Australians had an indoor training session, while the Indians cancelled their afternoon training session.

The groundsmen have also not giving the final touch to the square, since the ground is under covers. This could make the track behave differently in the 2nd ODI. Although the track has traditionally been a high-scorer.
